As I flipped through channels today I stopped on the movie “Four Christmases.” I was lucky enough to catch it as it was just beginning so I got to see the entire movie. Now again I tend to be harder on movies that have to do with love but I liked this one. It was a comedy as well as a romance movie. A couple (played by Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn) that normally takes a vacation during Christmas to avoid both of their families has no choice but to go and spend Christmas with them. Since both of them come from divorced homes they must visit four different houses. Since each parent seems to be a little crazy in their own way it makes things very complicated between the couple as the movie goes on. They find out things about each other that they did not know before and it changes their relationship. One of my favorite parts is when they are visiting his mother, who divorced his father and is now dating his best friend from childhood. ( Talk about awkward ) I also liked when they visited her mother and she had to fight some little kids for a pregnancy test. The movie was good but it was not great. It was very funny but I felt as if it was kind of predictable. I knew that they were going to end up have a big fight that may cause them to break up as soon as they fought about him not telling her he changed his name from Orlando.
*I give this movie a 6.5 out of 10*

I included the trailer because it has the parts from all four households.

The Time Traveler's Wife

As you probably can tell I mostly like action movies, but every now and again I branch out and watch something different. I was looking for a movie to watch for this week and I ended up watching “The Time Traveler’s Wife.” I do not watch a lot of love stories because I find them to be predictable. Boy meets girl, there is some kind of conflict preventing them from being together, and then in the end they fall into each other’s arms and live happily ever after. I am sure there are some stories that are different but most end up like that. I found this movie to be very interesting. The story is about a man that can travels through time at random to different parts of his life. In his travels he meets his future wife when she is a little girl and at other times in her life. Since he cannot control when he travels through time it puts a strain on their relationship as his wife tries to deal with the circumstances. She has to deal with him time traveling during their wedding as well as seeing his future self dying on the floor in front of her. This movie was a very well thought out love story and I think even those who do not like love stories should give this one a try.
*I give “The Time Traveler’s Wife” 8 out of 10*

"RED" was Killer

I just finish watching the movie “RED” on DVD. It was great. It had all things that make good action movies. The movie was about a retired CIA agent who is targeted to be assassinated. He and the women he is interested in go on the run and try and hunt down the person who is giving the orders. Since the girl he likes does not know about his CIA past he has to kidnap her to protect her from the people that would kill her to get to him. With the help of some of his retired CIA agent friends he goes up against the FBI, the CIA, and the secret service. My favorite part in the move is when Frank (played by Bruce Willis) gets out of a police car, with his gun drawn, while the car is spinning, and still does not get hit while shooting his assassin. I would suggest that everyone see this movie.
*I give this movie an 8.5 out of 10*
I have included the spinning car scene below that I described above.

Death at a Funeral was O.K.

Ok this past Monday I watched the movie “Death at a Funeral.” In my head I already told myself that I was not going to like this movie but luckily I was somewhat wrong. In my opinion there was not much to this movie. The plot was very simple with a few funny parts. What made the movie for me was one character named Oscar (played by James Marsden). In the beginning Oscar and his girlfriend almost get hit by a car which causes him to start freaking out. So to calm him down his girlfriend gives him one of her brother’s pills (which is something you should never do) that is wrongly labeled. The pills cause Oscar to start to hallucinate during the whole movie. His hallucinations ranged from just acting and saying weird things to seeing dead bodies move to even climb up on the roof naked. This character made the movie for me with his extreme craziness. Overall the movie was alright. I see it one of those movies that if you see it fine if you don’t that’s fine to.
*I give this movie a 5 out of 10 and James Marsden’s Character a 8.5 out of 10*

I have included a clip were Oscar thinks the coffin is moving and someone is alive inside it.

Inception Blew My Mind

I just got “Inception” on DVD and it was just as amazing as people said it was. It is a move that makes you never want to blink out of fear you may miss something. I find it hard to believe that someone could actually imagine something like this that is so elaborate and well thought out. The movie was like watching a story being told with multiple layers to it. The focused on reality, dreams, and dreams within dreams. It may sound confusing but all comes together when you watch it. I wish I had the imagination to think of something half as good as this movie. It takes you on a journey that you have no idea where you will end up but you never want the journey to end. To quote the movie watching this movie is like being “on a train, a train that will take you far away. You know where you hope this train will take you, but you don't know for sure. But it doesn't matter because…” To know how the quote ends you will have to watch the movie.
*I will give this move a 9.5 out of 10. It is a must see.*

Batman The Dark Knight Trailer 1 HD

Introduction

Movies are amazing ways to tell as well as show stories. There is a movie out there for everyone. There is action, comedy, horror, romance, and many others. Movies that make you laugh, cry, scream, or even scratch your head wondering what just happened.
I’m Antoine Hull and I love watching as well as talking about movies. My favorite movie of all time has to be "The Dark Knight." If you have not seen it you are missing out on one of the best Batman movies ever. I would give this movie a perfect 10 out of 10.
(Rating System: 1-10. 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest score)
I have this movie on DVD and I have seen it a bunch of times. One of my favorite scenes is when the Joker (played by Heath Ledger) blows up a hospital and walks out like nothings is happening.

I tend to watch a lot of movies in my spare time so I have decided to blog about some of them and give my opinion of them just as I did for “the Dark Knight.”
